Three for Three

So have I mentioned how obsessed I am with pintrest? well, I am. Today for dinner I had all recipes I found from pinterest! I am actually really proud of myself! I had a crockpot chicken tortilla soup. I changed it a little, but it was still amazing! (I added cream cheese to make it creamer!) You just add it all in and put on high for 6 hours!
I actually made it last night, so I just had to try a little of it before bed (even if it was 11pm). It was delicious!
Today I made these really easy and good 7up biscuits. Again I adjusted to my supplies. Instead of sour cream I used half mayo and half milk, and instead of 7up I used my ginger ale. It turned out so flaky and yummy!
For dessert I made these really good Chocolate Chip Cookies. The secret ingredient is cornstarch, which intrigued me, so I had to try them. They were way good. When you taken them out of the oven they don't look done, but they continue to cook after they come out.
All together a great meal!!!

Old To New

I've fallen in love with peacocks again. I think I have always had a fascination with them, but it has gone unnoticed until I unearthed it again. I think Pinterest, has a lot to blame for that, but who knows. Anyways, I have an IPhone 3GS and finding a cute case for it has been a struggle ever since I got it because all the cases are in the shape of the IPhone 4. My original case that I got for it broke and I hadn't gotten around to fixing it until recently because my parents had bought me another case that I had been using. But when I got a really good idea from pinterest I had to repair the old case. So here is the old case..
Not the best picture of me, but it is the only picture I have of my old case. So I did so gluing and fixed the broken part and started my reinventing my IPhone case. Here is the middle phase...
I was doing this all from my nail polishes, but then I realized that I did not have gold nail polish. So I went to the store and got some for this reason. It was worth it, cause I love my new case! Here it is! My old-new peacock phone case!

St Augustine, The Oldest Town In The U.S.

My friend Emily and I have become adventure buddies! So last Saturday she asked me if I wanted to go to the cost with her. So we headed to St. Augustine, the oldest surviving town in the United States! It was awesome! Here are a few of the things we saw.
This is the parking garage we parked in. I love it, because it has all the info on it!
The original gates of the city.
 Oldest drug store
They had all these shelves of the old medicines and contraptions of the old day.
 They even had sarsaperilla!
 The oldest school house
We tried to go in the see, but we had to pay for tuition, and I had already been trough school, but the shop right next door was handing out diplomas, so we grabbed on.
there was a chocolate store that I had to go in and I found this sign. It was to cute to not take a picture of!
The oldest house, you also had to pay to go in, so we just looked around.
I'm holding the fort down. ;)
We could never get it just right, either I was to far up or to far down. oh well, it was fun trying to do it. And Emily was a good sport!
Next we went to the original Ripley's Believe It Or Not. It was awesome!
This was made from a man that worked at the Chicago airport and found all these locks there and made this big lock.
 This was made from ivory!
We tried walking to the fountain of Youth, but it was closed when we got there! Youth is so hard to come by now a days... But I got this cool picture as we were walking there!
We went to go see this lighthouse that was just across the river. we were not totally sure which street to turn on so we picked one. Good thing we picked the one we did or else we would not have found this sign! Best directions ever!
All together it was an amazing day! Thanks Emily for a wonderful adventure!

Obsessed With My Hobby

About a month ago my sister Brittney and I were talking and she was telling me about this website. I was really confused at how it worked, but I told her that I would look at it when I got home. So, I did just that. About an hour playing around on the website I was hooked! I fell in love. You ask what IS this addictive website? PINTEREST!! You have to be invited to do it, but it is easy to be invited. I have become irritated with social networks, like facebook, but pinterest has given me something more to do with my time. I have become crafty! I love the recipes that I get off there, the random crafts and cleaning techniques.  So here is to my new obsession, the truth is finally out. Now you will soon see some of the awesome stuff I have made from this website. I hope you enjoy! (P.S. thank you Brittney!)

Wakeing Up To a Hot Meal

Everyone dreams of having breakfast in bed. Or at least waking up to a hot meal that is waiting for you that you didn't have to wake up and make for yourself. Well, given the fact that I live alone, this is less impossible...or is it? I found my solution. The crockpot! Yes, I have fallen in love with my crockpot. I put ingredients in it and set it on low and then went to sleep, only to wake up to a hot meal! well here it is! I got the recipe from this website.
First you saute the onions and bell peppers (I did lunch turkey instead of bacon because that is what I had so I sauteed them in this step)
In the crockpot you layer the hash browns and cheese and the onion mixture.
On the top you add the egg mixture
Close the lid and set it on low and go to bed.
 10 hours later....
You have a hot meal to wake up to!
 Dish it out and enjoy.
I forgot to add the milk so I think it could have had a little more flavor to it, but I ended up putting salsa on it and it taste fine. Next time I will add all the ingredients.

Crazy Candace, The Canadian Time

Candace and I met a little over a year ago now on the College program from Disney, and since then she has come back to visit a few times. Each time she stays a little longer. This time was two weeks! We had a blast!

When Candace first got here we where trying to get set up, but the pump for the air mattress was gone, so we had to get creative. Here I am with my hair plow dryer plowing up the mattress. It worked actually very well!
We did a lot of cooking too. Here I am making carrot cake.
And homemade pizza. It was so good, that we made it again later in the trip! (we have a secret sauce. Shush, don't tell)
It was cloudy and rainy a lot. There was a number of times that Candace got stuck places hiding under something or other from the rain.
One night we went to Coranado Springs to eat dinner and then hang out afterwards on the hammocks. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset!
The lake made it even more beautiful!
You can't see our faces all that well, but here we are with the awesome sunset.
Another night, after I got off of work, we went to Boma's at Animal Kingdom Lodge. It was amazing! Our waiter was awesome! He was funny! It was a buffet style, and he told us we had to have 6 courses. If you counted my drink that I finished, then I succeed! I did a arms-up-touch-down-kind-of-victory dance when I finished. He got a kick out of that.
Here we are on the monorail going to Magic Kingdom for the first time on this trip, almost a week after she got here. And on the way out of Magic Kingdom Candace dropped the remainder of her popcorn all over the monorail right before the doors opened. So as soon as they did, we booked it out of there! We still laugh about that today!
 We meet the princesses...Auroa
Belle, Notice my cupcake earrings. They all loved them. I wore them in honor of my sister Christina's birthday.
 And Cinderella
Candace and I had just been talking about Jake Sparrow a few minutes before we walked by here and then we saw him preforming! It was so awesome! Small world.
We rode the carousel, but as we were waiting in line I noticed that we were both wearing skirts, so we had to go lady-like side saddle.
I think Candace pulled off the lady-like part better then me.
I finally went on the Mad Hatter Tea Cups!!! No one ever wants to go on with me, but Candace did! I couldn't really walk straight after that.... :/
After we went on the Peoplemover. We practically had it to ourselves!
when we came out of one of the tunnels we saw that it was poring down rain, so we asked if we could go around one more time. By the time we got off the second time the rain had cleared (as did a lot of people).
Buzz Lightyear became one of our obsessions. We looked up the secrets of the game, so we tried our best to get them....I am not sure if we improved after the secrets or not.
While at work, Candace made a few new friends!
One morning we couldn't decide which cereal to eat, so we just mixed them. It turned out to be pretty good anyways.
The one night we had planned to watch Wishes was kind of foiled by a few cockroaches, and also the fact that we had to pick up Toni and her dad at the airport. But the next time we decided to go watch it on top of the Contemporary Hotel. This is the picture of us waiting inside before they started.
And here is Wishes! The little reddish/orange thing is Cinderella's castle and the big white building is Space Mountain.
On one of my day's off we went to Cocoa Beach and Chris was our tour guide. He has lived there most of his life, so he knew all the cool places.
We went to the famous Ron Jon Surf Shop, and I found this huge coffee cup! It was awesome!
We had a few attempt of a group picture, and this is the best one. :)

On Candace's last night we stayed at one of the Resorts. The All Star's Sports Resort to be exact. We got on the dinning plan and got to enjoy Extra Magic Hours at Hollywood! One of our other favorite rides was Toy Story Mania. We looked up the secrets of that ride too. We were much better on this ride then Buzz  Lightyear at un-cracking the secrets! I am so proud of us!!
We also went to Magic Kingdom to play. Here is Candace and Minnie becoming friends.
Donald Duck and I got close too,but he still fancies Daisy, as you can see by the fact that she is on his pumpkin.
After playing at Magic Kingdom for a few hours we rode the water taxi over to Disney's Wilderness Lodge for our dinner reservations.
We got the all you can eat meat platter. It was so much food! I was stuffed halfway through the meal. Candace kept going ten minutes after I through up the white flag of surrender.
I even got the manager to agree to wheel me out of there because I had eaten to much. But it was still so good!!
Back at Hollywood, during the Extra Magic Hours, we saw Minnie doing the Cuban Shuffle. It was cute!
The thing that I am most addicted to here at Disney World, is this drawing class. I got Candace hooked too! So we ended up doing it a lot (more then I will admit actually). Here is one of the ones that I did, and one of my favorites I have done so far. Jiminy Cricket.
They have two full body characters that they do, and I had done Pascel before so we were wondering who the other character was. It turned out that it was Ray, from Princess and the Frog. We requested him with the artist. It was so much fun drawing him. When we went around one last time, the artist ended up giving us her drawing of Ray! I let Candace take him home. But it was such a cool magical moment!
All in all we had an amazing two weeks! We are totall goofballs, but had fun none the less! Thank you Candace for an awesome time! I can't wait for next time!
(Still one of the highlights of the trip for us was when we through pennies into the toll booth. Candace included from the passenger side!great times!)
