A Split Second of Energy

Tonight I was driving home from FHE and I saw a beautiful lightening storm in front of me. The brilliant strikes of light lit up the sky. I was so amazing. I finally had to stop and try and take some pictures. I pulled into a random parking lot and got out of my car and sat on my car. Luckily I keep my camera with me at all times. I think I sat there for an hour and took over five hundred pictures. Most of them turned out black, but this one picture turned out perfect! I got a few other good ones, but this one tells the whole story. ...The palm tree says I am in Florida, a tropical place. The lamp post you can barely see at the base of the palm tree says it is night, but it is not totally distracting from the picture. The big black cloud on the left of the picture tells how dark the night really was. The bright right side of the picture says how the lightening lit up the sky. And last, but defiantly not the least, the little line of light that is a bolt of lightening shows how a split second of energy can be captured and shared by many. I hope you love this picture just as much as I do!

A Little Change

It has been really hot and humid here in Florida this summer and I have been outside more, so I have been hot and sweaty myself. There hasn't been really anything I could do about it besides coming home and taking a nice cool shower. Two weeks ago I was playing with my hair and noticed how long it was and that I needed a haircut. So last week on my day off I went to the hair salon. But, instead of my normal trim, I told them I needed a change and to cut a lot off. When she cut the first piece she asked me if that was okay. To scare her a little I told her no, and to put an inch back on. Her eyes got really big and then I told her it was okay, and that I was just playing. Anyways, now my hair is the shortest it has been in almost seven years! But I love it! I love wearing it in two pig tails. I love running my fingers through it. I love not really having to brush my hair, because it is so short. This was just the change I needed!
Sorry, the picture is a little dark, but hopefully you can see how short and cute it is. :D

Short Story Long

At work I am a stocker. I have been for about 6 months now. It has been the best of times and the worst of times. Anyways, every once in a while I have to stock to bar. In doing this I have to do 'liquor exchanges'. This entails me getting the empty bottles from the bar and bringing them back to the liquor cage and calling a manager to unlock the liquor and change out the empties for the full bottles.  I love talking to my managers as I do this. It gives me time to get to know them more and become friends with them. One of my managers loves to drink Ginger Ale as we are doing this. They are right beside the cage, so it makes for an easy access. One day when I was questioning him about his love for the stuff he gave me one. It was good, but I was like whatever. A few days later I was drinking a sprite and decided that I liked the taste of ginger ale better. Who knew?! Well, long story, short, I like the stuff. No, I am currently addicted to the stuff. I even went out and got a case. (not the best thing I have done this month, but I am hoping it will last me a while) Also there is a song out now that has a line in it that say: "I think I need a Ginger Ale, that was suck an epic fail." This makes me happy, because I love ginger ale now and I always say epic fail. Total win-win!

I know, you know...

For the past two months I haven't had reliable transportation, so I have been stuck at home for a few more hours then I am used to. BUT no worries, I found my cure to boredom! Yep, you probably guessed it, Psych! I love this show! It is so funny and witty! Shawn and Gus have entertained me for many, many hours. If you get the chance watch an episode! You will love it, hopefully just as much as I do.

You Light Up The Sky

Disney is very good at fireworks, they play Wishes at Magic Kingdom every night, and Illuminations at EPCOT and Fantasmic once or twice a week at Hollywood Studios, but on the major holidays they go above and beyond their normal awesomeness!
Here are a few pictures I captured from my phone of the Magic Kingdom Fourth of July Fireworks watched from the Polynesian Resort.
You can kinda see Cinderella's Castle in the picture above. It's the little purple thing in the middle.

They had this boat parade come out on the Seven Sea's Lagoon that had Flags and Stars on them. It was very cool!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!

Lost and Trying to Find

About three years ago one of my FHE brothers in college had this picture out and I feel in love with it! By the end of the semester he had found a postcard with it on it and gave it to me. I have it hanging up in my room always. Lately it has been falling down (I don't know how it does, but it does). I then pick it up and put it back on the wall, only to find in a day or two it is back on the ground. Today I find it slightly tilted, making another jump to it's seemingly favorite spot. I have been setting starring at it, wondering why it always ends up on the ground. Then I took a little better look at it and remembered how much I love the picture. How the boy looks so lost and ready to quite with his bags packed and his dark clothes. How Christ is just sitting there talking to him trying to help him find his way again. How the background is so beautiful with its trees and the little winding path. I just love the whole picture.

I have been going through a lot in the past month and a half, that I feel like this boy sitting on the bench with my bags pack not sure where I belong and ready to run. But, I am certain that the Lord is on that bench with me trying to tell me that everything will be okay, and the things will work out in the end. All I have to do is have patience and trust in Him. I am just waiting for the thing He is preparing me for with all these trail I have been through this year alone.
