MY BOOTS!!

I finally broke down and bought me some boots. I got them at Sheplers.com There was a big single adult activity in Florida that is the biggest thing of the year and it was Rodeo themed, so I took that chance to buy my some boots! The past few days I have taken any excuse to wear them. I even dressed up to go to Walmart for an hour so I could put them on. But the best was I wore them to church! I got a lot of compliments! I will now be doing that more often. Well, as often as I can without making it weird. As a friend's blog goes,  "I heart my boots!"

Feeling A Little Left Out?

The other day I was driving home, pretty late at night, from hanging out with friends thinking how very tired I was and hoping I would make it home without falling asleep. As I was getting closer to my apartment my phone vibrates. As I was at a light I looked at my phone thinking it was a text from my friend seeing if I got home safe. What did I see? A very friendly 'text' from my scriptures (not the exact friend I was thinking about, but good all the same). They were just reminding me to read them. They were feeling a little left out so they 'texted' me. Needless to say when I got home I read my scriptures before I zonked out. Thank you kind scriptures for being there for me. I will try not to forget you anymore.

Getting To Know Me

Getting to know me, getting to know all about me...

Watching the sun set in my rear view mirror on long trips is one of my favorite things to do. This was taken on my way home from work, so not so much a long trip, but it gives you an idea. The best part of the photo is the top of the rear view mirror. Enjoy!

I have a cross with my stitch!

A few months back I go a cross stitch pattern packet. I started working on it in the beginning of January. About a week into the project I noticed a flaw or miscount in it. I threw it in the corner for a week (as I normally do when things go wrong, I take a break form it). Well, needless to say I had a choice on my hands. I either had to go on with it and make up the difference, or I had to unpick HOURS of work. What did I decide?...You guessed it, I choose the hard way out...I went on intending to make up the difference. Blah, stupid me! (okay I finally said it!) As I have continued on with this endeavor I have found more and more things that are messed up. Every time I pick it up to work on it I get frustrated. If any of you have ever done a cross stitch you know how important the count of it is. Well, mine no longer has a count. Okay, so with that said, I am going to be the only on that will notice any of this. Yes, I said it and I meant it. I have been able, so far, to reconstruct this so called masterpiece to look reasonable. I once heard of a lady that did quilts that she put in one flaw on every quilt that she ever did to remind her that she is not perfect. With that said, I have noticed that I have a lot more flaws then I thought I had. But, with Heavenly Father's help I have been able to fill in the gaps and reconstruct the broken parts to make it seam as nothing had happened. I am still a masterpiece, no matter how much my count is off.
Here is the very beginning of the project, before the mistakes came in. Stay tuned for the finally! (but give me a few months)

Beauty At It's Finest

This is Typhoon Lagoon!
It never ceases to amaze me how beautiful my park is!! I have been a stocker for the last month and a half so this allows me to walk around the park a lot and so I get to see day to day the beauty of the landscape! I am truly in love with my park. There is no other way to describe it. This picture was taken in the wee hours of the morning one day when I was opening the park. No one was in the park yet and I was enjoying the sunrise and my beautiful park by myself! I am a very lucky woman to be able to work in just an amazing place with amazing people! Thank you Heavenly Father for this blessing!
