EPCOT

What does EPCOT stand for? ... does anyone know? ...well if you are a cast member at Walt Disney World then it stands for Every Paycheck Comes On Thursday!!! (or the real one is Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow). I Just happen to get Thursdays off! So here are a few of the things that I have done on MY EPCOT...

Here is one of my first days off. I went to Typhoon Lagoon to get the full experience and know how it feels to go there as a guest. I went by myself so this is the only picture of me there. and it is a water park so it is difficult to get pictures there. All in all I loved this day!!!

These next photos are when my roommate Jenna and I got Thursday together! We went to Animal Kingdom.

Everest!!! It is maybe my favorite ride at Disney World!
This is after the rapid ride and you can not tell all that much but we are SOAKED! I was still soaked 2 1/2 hours later and that only changed because I got home and changed. but it was so much fun!
Jenna and I at the parade

on of my next days off I actually went to EPCOT! and of course I had to visit the World Showcase while I was at it! I took a tour of France then ate in Japan, visited China, had a history lesson in America and many more things. It was awesome!
my food from Japan
China
This is what my name looks like written in Chinese
These little boys were so cute and so good. they balanced plates on sticks and spun plates on the table. it was fun to watch

Another day off Jenna, Robin and I all had it off together. We went to Hollywood Studios.
We got learn to draw Disney characters!! It was so much fun!
Hidden Mickey
Tower Of Terror! They changed to drop sequence and it was amazing!
Rockin' Roller Coaster! in front of the guitar
waiting in line for Toystory Mania. we waited for 2 hours!

Robin is a life guard so it was funny when we say this. We had to take a picture
Jenna is Player 1 and I am Player 2!!! I did so good!

So those are a few of my days off! Lots of fun with awesome people!

Disney has been so great! I love it here! If you are not familiar with Walt Disney World, then here is the load down of what we are all about and how you know each park....

We have the 4 major parks,

Magic Kingdom (the Castle)
Animal Kingdom (the Tree of Life)
Hollywood Studios (The Sorcerers Hat)
EPCOT (the Epcot Ball)

 2 water park,

Typhoon Lagoon (Typhoon Tilly)
Blizzard Beach (Summit Plummit)
(I don't have a picture of this one, sorry)

Downtown Disney (The Hot Air Balloon)
(this picture is actually of the Store "World of Disney" because I do not have a picture of the balloon)

 and Disney Boardwalk.
(I don't have a picture of just the boardwalk, so you get me in it too.)

So that is a little of what I get to see all the time. There will be more to come! Love you all!

A Lot More Proof of Play Then Work

So I have given up trying to post about my road trip, I will probably do a "flashback" at some point so you can see all the fun my mom and I had while driving across country. Right now I am in Florida, Walt Disney World of all places! I love it so much! My days have flown by while I have been here. Its been just over 6 weeks since I got here. I LOVE my job, LOVE my fellow cast members, LOVE my roommates, and LOVE the fact that I can go to the parks whenever I am bored. So here a few moments of me at the parks and having fun! There will be plenty more to come!

The End of Something Great and The Beginning of Something Better!

I have officially graduated from college!!! Wow, I can't believe that four years has already gone by. For those who don't know, or are unsure, I graduated from Brigham Young University Idaho with a Bachelors of Science in University Studies. That includes a Minor in Culinary Arts, a minor in Home and Family Studies, and also a cluster (it's like a minor, but less credits) in Organizational Communications.

I graduated April 10, 2010! Most of my family was able to come up to share in this awesome experience! Thanks everyone! here are a few pictures of the event...

This is how all these pictures came about. Mom and Dad gave me a new camera for graduation!!! I love it! Thank you so much!

We through a party to celebrate and we had TONS and TONS of food! It was so good and so many people came...but we still ended up having lots of leftovers.

Krystal Sudweeks, Crystal Johnson, and I all graduated!
The graduation cap! 2010 baby!
We got a little tired waiting to go out to commencement, so we sat down when everyone was standing up.

Me and my University! I did it! All 4 years.

Everyone watching my convocation.
being slightly bored waiting to be called up to walk
I was the last person to walk, I know how to pick it
The whole gang that came to support me! Thank you all!
Sisters!
Mom, Dad, and I
Me and my Grandmas!!

What If...?

"What" and "If" are two harmless words, but when you but them together the create a thought provoking question.

There is a wall in Vienna that girls from all over the world go to and write Juliet letters about questions in their lives. Juliet's secretaries write back to them. Sophie happens upon a letter that was lost for 50 years. She replies to the letter and a marvelous story and adventure sprouts from it.

Tonight I went to see this movie and it was AMAZING!!! It was so cute! I recommend everyone to go see it. It is a romance movie, so if you have a special someone in your life this would be a great one to bring them to. If you are like me, without someone to call their own, you can wish that someday soon they will show up and brighten your world!

Enjoy the movie!

Alive?

YES!!!

Okay, so it has been FOREVER since I have updated my blog! Trust me I have attempted to several times but always I get distracted or pulled way from my computer. So much has happened to me since I last wrote. I have graduated from college, decorated two wedding cakes, attended three weddings and been a bridesmaid for two of those, traveled across country, and started working for Disney World! lots and lots of stuff!!! So I will be posting about all of the above as soon as I can, in the mean time here is a picture to prove that I am still alive! love you all!

(Of course I am always making a mess)

A Little Taste of Graduation

In my confectionery class I have been taking this semester we were informed about a month ago that for our final we would have to come up with a design for a final project involving four candies and two garnishes. The project would have to have some sort of unifying factor, whether it was a flavor or an idea. For the life of me I could not think of any idea to work with. All I could think of was that I was graduating in a month!! So, it finally hit me, that should be my theme. The next step was to design it and implement the different candies. It did not go as well as I would have hoped (one of my favorite ideas did not end up working) but it was still really cool looking!
All of it is sitting on marshmallow (it was suppose to be a book with brittle as the book cover). Then the graduation cap is made out of chocolate filigree as the cap, a coconut tuile cookie as the top of the cap, and a gummy worm as the tassel. The rolled up diploma leaning against the cap is made from marzipan. Next to those is a tuxedo strawberry. The 2010 is made from Chocolate Hazelnut Nougat and Orange Marmalade Pecan Squares.
